Contract board terms

  1. Authorization. Contracts are effective only with in-person verbal and written authorization from Albert Lane. Nothing on this board — including a bid, counteroffer or acceptance recorded here — is a binding contract until then.
  2. Listings and prices. Listings are invitations to negotiate. Each starting price is 4× a cited market rate, with the source and the date it was read. A listing without a source shows "rate unverified" and has no price.
  3. Accounts. Securing, bidding and negotiating need an albertlane.net account with its own board role. Account creation, securing, bidding and payments are subject to legally required checks. We may decline any request without giving a reason.
  4. Records. Negotiation threads are append-only and hash-chained. Financial, transaction, contract, bid and negotiation records, and records kept for legal and regulatory compliance, are retained as the law and regulations require. Self-serve delete covers only personalization prefs and browsing history.
  5. Your data. Alerts and personalization are off until you switch them on. Nothing is inferred, scored, shared with third parties or used across accounts. You can export your data, or delete your prefs and browsing history, at any time on your account page.
  6. Payments and wallets. Payments are taken only for contracts authorized as in clause 1, and they run through albertlane.net's own infrastructure. A third-party wallet such as Google Pay, if offered, is only a front end. Albert Lane reserves the right, at his sole discretion, to provide an alternative wallet or payment processing path for Google, or for transactions involving Google, upon any indicator of financial crime.
  7. License. All content, code and downloads are © Albert Lane and licensed under the Albert Lane Proprietary Software License. License inquiries: albertlane.net, lane.albert@pm.me.
