F1
Case-sensitivity defect: capital letters are lost on decode
Defect
encode() matches case-insensitively (re.IGNORECASE), but decode() always writes back the lowercase LEXICON key. Any lexicon word that starts with a capital letter, or is written in capitals, comes back in lowercase.
Original (shareholder sample 2)
Going forward, we will leverage our ecosystem to streamline holistic value.
Decoded
going forward, we will leverage our ecosystem to streamline holistic value.
The same thing happens in translator __main__ sample 3: “Per my last email … Action items” decodes to “per my last email … action items”. More examples: “AI”, “GPT”, “Kubernetes”, “Deploy”, “Meeting”. Both samples fail on all 1,000 random seeds. They only pass if case is ignored.
F2
Lenient pass criterion in the reported results
Defect
The JSON marks shareholder sample 2 pass: true, but its decoded value does not equal its original. So the reporting harness either compares without case or does not check equality at all. Our re-run gives the same encoded and decoded strings byte for byte. The output is reproducible; only the pass verdict is wrong. With an exact-match rule, the shareholder suite's attached evidence is 1 / 2, not a pass.
F3
Evidence gap: 6 of 17 claimed cases have records
Gap
The JSON totals are 6, 6 and 5 (17 cases), but each suite includes only 2 sample records. The other 11 cases (4 investor, 4 shareholder, 3 cloud/retail) have no inputs or outputs to check. fuzz_pass: true also comes with no fuzz records. The 6 attached samples exercise 23 of 55 lexicon keys, and only variant 1 of each.
F4
Substring collisions: lexicon words are replaced inside other words
Design flaw
The pattern has no word boundaries (re.escape(phrase) without \b), so short keys are replaced inside unrelated words. Examples: “failed” → f🤖💀❓led, “maintain” → m🤖💀❓nt🤖💀❓n, “email” → em🤖💀❓l, “debug” → de🐛💀💢, “emergency” → e🤝💥💀ncy, “preview” → p👀💀🤞, “fragile” → fr🐇💨🔪, “ChatGPT” → Chat🤖📈💀. Decode still restores these inside-word cases exactly, as long as no capital letter is involved. The encoded text is still wrong for readers, and it adds surface area for F6.

The React artifact shows encodings this code does not produce
Mismatch
The artifact (“72-hour Investor / Shareholder / Cloud Ops + Retail smoke test dashboard”) has 9 sample panels. Only the 2 investor inputs match this code's output. The other 7 use sequences that are not in LEXICON (for example synergy → 💀🤝💀; LEXICON has 🤝💀🤮). They also encode words that LEXICON does not contain (alignment, post-mortem, optimize, best-in-class), and they leave “Going forward” unencoded. Its headline figures (“17/17 PASS”, “100% · 55/55”, “TRIPLE PASS CONFIRMED”) are not supported by the attached data. It labels latency “ms”, a unit the JSON does not state.
F6
Reverse-map collisions
Edge case
No emoji sequence is shared by two LEXICON words. All 125 variants are unique, and none is contained in another. Adjacency is a different matter. We decoded every ordered pair of variants placed side by side (15,625 pairs), and 2 decode incorrectly. The boundary between 💸🚀💀 (openai) and the next sequence forms 🚀💀🔥 (deploy), which decode replaces first. This only happens when the two words touch with no character between them, so the real-world likelihood is low.
| Adjacent sequences | Expected decode | Actual decode |
|---|
💸🚀💀 (openai) + 🔥😱💀 (deadline) | openaideadline | 💸deploy😱💀 |
💸🚀💀 (openai) + 🔥🚨💀 (outage) | openaioutage | 💸deploy🚨💀 |
F7
Emoji already present in the input are “decoded” into words
Edge case
Decoding is not limited to emoji that encode produced. Input Status: 🔥😱💀 vibes → encode leaves it unchanged → decode returns Status: deadline vibes. Round-trip Fail.
F8
Minor code observations
Note
deterministic=True also calls random.seed(seed), which reseeds Python's global random generator as a side effect. The translator's own __main__ runs with deterministic=False, so its printed output differs from the reported (deterministic) encodings. Python 3.13.5 on x86_64 was used for the re-run.
